The New Medicine Service (NMS) provides free NHS support when you're prescribed a new medicine for a long-term condition. Our pharmacists will follow up with you to ensure the medicine is working well and answer any questions.

Before your appointment

Bring a list of current medicines and any relevant medical history.
If you are unsure whether the service is suitable, call the branch before travelling.

How It Works

Initial Consultation

When you collect your new medicine, we'll discuss how to take it.

Follow-Up Call

We'll contact you in 1-2 weeks to see how you're getting on.

Final Review

A final check at 3-4 weeks ensures the medicine is working for you.
